BLUE LAGOON FLOATING SUPERCLUB (21 Oct 2005 - Apr 2006)
I am proud to be remembered as
the first DJ to play at this venue. I opened the club, saw crowds as large
as 2100 people (never been repeated since I left) and suggested many
marketing and design ideas for the club.
I am
pleased that many of my ideas and suggestions live on:
Guest DJs / PAs
The resident LJ
The dancers
The big screen
The newspaper ad design
etc, etc...
Good luck to Rick and a very fond farewell to Jacky.
The 2400-capacity,
BLUE LAGOON nightclub, onboard the ex-Royal Danish train ferry PRINCESS
SELANDIA, moored at Barrow-In-Furness docks, sports SIX dancefloors, 60
speakers, 4 lasers, 50+ intelligent lighting effects, massive video screens, 18 neon rigs and a
64K
sound system!

GIGS
After leaving Club 54, Guernsey in July 2003, I was asked to work
for THREE MONTHS in Corfu, Greece. I became resident DJ at DIRTY NELLIES in
Corfu, which was great fun, and certainly a little different to the usual club
work that I have grown accustomed to!
After returning to the UK at the beginning of October 2003, I was approached by
CHICAGO ROCK CAFE to provide relief DJ cover at several of their units (Macclesfield, Lancaster, Wigan, Wrexham, Rochdale, St Helens,
Bury, Barnsley and Warrington)
I also completed a radio media / broadcasting course with Galaxy 102 FM - Manchester.
DJ residencies followed at
THE WORKS - BIRMINGHAM (Main room),
plus CREATION - STOKE (Main room), where I worked with DJ DAVE PEARCE,
amongst others.
Then I was offered Saturday residency at MR SMITHS - WARRINGTON.
In May, 2005, I
travelled to Alanya, Turkey, where I was offered a residency on the VIP Floor of
ROBIN HOOD ENTERTAINMENT COMPLEX.
Later, in August 2005, I was asked to DJ at SOUL TRAIN, MAGALUF, Majorca.
This gave me the opportunity to visit
Club BCM, where I was able to meet
DJ TIM WESTWOOD.
September 2005 saw me travel to Halkidiki, Greece, for a holiday (!), where I
(as usual), ended up DJing at
LONG ISLAND Bar, Hanioti (Hi to Vasillis -
so much for a holiday, eh?)
I have also made several
guest DJ appearances at JUMPING JAX - HANLEY, STOKE
and
CHICAGO ROCK CAFE,
BARNSLEY during 2005.
Production News - ZAQ FEAT
DJ MAT STEVENS:
CURRENT PROJECTS:
THE REMIX OF "SONAR"
was completed early in 2003!
I renamed the track: "ZAQ - Calling For Your Love".
CALLING FOR YOUR LOVE has already been played out EXTENSIVELY by HUNDREDS
of DJs in the UK
.
Reactions have been superb already,
probably due to the fact that the track was engineered by the one and only -
MIKE DI SCALA, from ULTRABEAT / REZONANCE Q, / BCD PROJECT, etc, etc.
(THANKS MIKE - GREAT JOB!)
The track was played on
radio for the first time on 25 February 2003 on Guernsey's 104.7 ISLAND
FM
by DJ Dave Bichard (www.islandfm.guernsey.net). It was subsequently played
AGAIN on Saturday 1st and Tues 4th March. Thank you Dave!
The track was submitted to
many key industry figures over recent weeks, including principle UK and
INTERNATIONAL RADIO STATIONS.
MAJOR RADIO STATIONS have started playing the
track on-air!
RECORD LABELS / DJ AGENCIES have also started contacting me, enquiring about
this and my other (secret) projects!
The remix is much more of a
contemporary "scouse house" or pumping euro vocal trance feel, using elements of
hard house, aswell as commercial and hard trance. The vocal has been
changed slightly, aswell as being spliced on the build-ups.
YOU CAN LISTEN TO THE
NEW TRACK IN THE MAIN PART OF MY SITE. GO TO THE MAIN MENU PAGE

YOU CAN ALSO HEAR DAVE BICHARD'S WORLD EXCLUSIVE FIRST RADIO AIRPLAY ON MY

ALSO DOWNLOADABLE FROM THE MAIN MENU PAGE.
